About ConstructionLearn More
The concept of construction management (Construction management) was proposed for the first time in 1970 due to the many complexities of the construction industry and the inefficiency of the traditional design, bidding and construction (DBB) system. With the increase of complexities, lawsuits and other risks in the projects, the construction manager was introduced as a specialty to fill the gap between the parties involved in the project (employer, contractor and designer). Finally, in 1986, the first construction management standard was officially published by the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA). It should be noted that this standard is updated every few years and the latest version of the construction management standard was published in 2021.
