  • Description

This series prepares you for the CompTIA Network+ (N10-008) exam, one of the most important entry-level certifications in the IT industry. In part five of this series, instructors Mike Meyers and Joe Ramm step through the process of securing TCP/IP. They explain symmetric and asymmetric encryption, as well as cryptographic hashes. Mike and Joe discuss the importance of identification, access control, and AAA (authorization, authentication, and accounting). They show you how Kerberos and EAP perform different functions for local network authentication and go over how single sign-on (SSO) can simplify a user’s AAA experience. After explaining certificates and trust, Mike and Joe walk you through how to troubleshoot common problems with certificates.
