    This course serves as a complete beginner's guide to what is expected from university-level academic writing in English. I specifically designed this course for those who do not speak English as their first language. Therefore, I added subtitles and spoke at a slower pace to enhance your understanding. As a former international student studying in an American university, I compiled the answers to most struggles in academic writing that ESL learners might come across.

    Now that I have 6+ years of experience as a writing consultant, I decided to share my knowledge about writing basics. This course will help you get a head start at university-level writing in English. After taking the bite-sized lessons of this course, you will:

    Understand the basics of academic writing tailored specifically for English as a Second Language students who are unfamiliar with Western style academic writing in English.

    Master the theory about 3 main academic essay types, including narrative, argumentative and expository.
