  • Description

Collaboration is in high demand. This course will teach you the skills to be a Cisco Collaboration administrator by demonstrating how to deploy endpoints, create and maintain the dial plan, perform digit manipulation, and manage call permissions.

    What You'll Learn?

These days, companies are relying on Cisco Collaboration solutions to ensure that they can communicate with their customers, employees, and everyone else. There is immense demand for administrators who have the knowledge and skills needed to manage and maintain their Cisco deployments.

In this course, Cisco Collaboration Fundamentals: Registering Endpoints and Implementing the Dial Plan, you will see the step-by-step process of adding endpoints, configuring the dial plan, and managing call permissions as needed to administer and support a Cisco Collaboration solution.

First, you will discover how to register collaboration endpoints and how to use a variety of tools like Self-provisioning and BAT, as well as Universal Line and Device templates, to deploy collaboration endpoints in volume.

Next, you will explore how to configure trunks and gateways, route lists, and route patterns, how to communicate with endpoints outside of the organization, and how to change incoming and outgoing calling (source) and called (destination) numbers. Then, you will create partitions and calling search spaces to implement call permissions.

Finally, you will learn how to troubleshoot common problems that can arise when configuring these components.

When you are finished with this course, you will have the knowledge of how to configure endpoints, gateways, and trunks, how to perform digit manipulation, manage call permissions, and troubleshoot these as needed to administer and support a Cisco Collaboration solution.

    Instructor's Courses
Sean Douglas has more than 17 years of experience working extensively with Cisco technology. He didn't always understand how IP networks, voice, and video solutions work. Sean remembers clearly what it was like to start from the beginning, when everything was new and somewhat confusing. Fortunately, he had some exceptional teachers that took the time to explain things in plain terms. He also has an enthusiasm for learning and finding solutions. Sean brings that same passion for learning and enthusiasm when teaching. For the last decade, he has worked as a Cisco Systems Engineer that consults with a variety of clients to design, implement, build from the ground up, and maintain their Cisco Collaboration Solutions. Sean is CCNP in Routing and Switching, Wireless, and Collaboration.
