You are a Director, Manager or Business Analyst of an operational team and a Business Intelligence project has just been started in your company. A lot of things are happening around you:
A whole vocabulary that you do not master appears
You attend debates in the IT department about the future and sustainability of your systems
And sometimes, the discussions go beyond you.

But, you feel that this project is important for your team and your company, people ask you your need even if you don't know how to express it, you are sometimes asked to decide.

So how can you add value to the discussions on these projects with all this complexity?

In this training, I propose you the minimum vital you need to understand, to contribute to a Business Intelligence project:
How to express your Business needs?
What position should you adopt during the project?
What are the fundamental concepts of Business Intelligence?

To understand all this, this training is built in four parts:
In the first part we will describe the information involved in a BI project and we will see how it is organized
In the second part we will describe a simple procedure to describe a business intelligence need
In the third part, we will look at the BI project but from the IT point of view and we will describe the different technical components
In the fourth part we will concretize all these elements via a demonstration in the Pentaho Data Integration ETL and the Microsoft Power BI business intelligence platform
