    Description

At a high level, it is understood that a BA is a person between the business and developers who translates business needs into requirements, but what does this mean exactly? Are you just taking notes and passing them along? This lack of clarity can hurt you when preparing your resume, sitting for an interview, and when starting the job.

Imagine if you could have the confidence to hit the ground running on any project and start asking the right questions and producing effective deliverables right away. Whether it is agile, waterfall, or while you sitting for your interview, you will be able to clearly articulate the value you can deliver as a BA  and the skills that you have to achieve that value.

I have been a business analyst for over 12 years. I spent my early career trying to achieve exactly that, the knowledge of what value I should be bringing to the table and the confidence to know that I can bring it. After years of honing my skill, leading projects, and mentoring junior business analysts I became a manager of business analysts using my knowledge and experience to grow future kick-ass BAs. Now I’m making that available to you.

    In this course ...

    • I guide you through realistic scenarios to give you a clear understanding of what business analysis is

    • I provide a mental framework for how to conduct business analysis work regardless of the project type or delivery methodology

    • I provide assignments that simulate BA work to test your abilities against a set of industry-standard BA competencies

If you want the knowledge to write a resume that gets interviews, the confidence to kick butt in those interviews, and the ability to be a strong business analyst in any industry, with any methodology, at any organization, then enroll today.

    Instructor's Courses
I have spent the last 13 years as a business analyst tackling a wide range of projects from large-scale initiatives like merging two companies to smaller projects like single-purpose applications and process optimizations.         During that time I became a certified business analyst, earned my Masters Degree in User Experience Design, and worked closely with my business analyst team to revamp and re-energize the entire business analysis process at my company.         I spend a lot of my time focused on how to improve myself and my peers as business analysts by building ourselves and enhancing our processes. I read about it, talk about it, blog about it, and have been featured in the International Institue of Business Analyst newsletter about it. (IIBA July 2014 Newsletter "The Simplest Way to Understand All of Your Business Analysis Deliverables.")
Students take courses primarily to improve job-related skills. Some courses generate credit toward technical certification. Udemy has made a special effort to attract corporate trainers seeking to create coursework for employees of their company.
