Currently, Joanne is the Chief People Officer at a software company that integrates data and technologies to help operators and responders get the information they need to react faster in emergency incidents. In addition, Joanne develops and delivers online training courses for LinkedIn Learning and Madecraft. Joanne is the co-author of five HR certification preparation manuals published by McGraw-Hill. In July 2017, Joanne delivered a TEDx Saint Thomas Talk on The Role of Transformational Leadership in Eliminating Workplace Bullying. Joanne is a candidate for a Ph.D. in Creative Leadership for Innovation and Change. Additionally, Joanne has earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Technology Management and a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. Joanne is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), SHRM-Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), certified Crucial Conversations trainer, Prosci Change Management Practitioner, and a trained paralegal specializing in employment law. When Joanne is not working, she is spending time with her family on her favorite Caribbean beaches in her birthplace of St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands and her parents native country, Antigua, West Indies.
