  • Description

As the underlying code that makes Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies function, Blockchain needs no introduction. It’s a powerful and innovative enabler that’s redefining how we store and update transactions on a network. Let instructor Jonathan Reichental take you on a deeper dive that explores the importance and ongoing relevance of Blockchain.

Learn about how the basic Blockchain technology works, including the concepts of cryptography, mining, public and private keys, and smart contracts. Find out how Blockchain enables the most popular cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, by examining how Bitcoin is generated, how it is transacted, and the requirements for participating as either an exchange, trader, or miner. Jonathan also puts Blockchain in a larger, more global context, exploring unique implementations of Blockchain technology in decentralized finance, nonfungible tokens, cross-border payments, identity management, and title registries.
