    Description

Welcome to the Practical EMC course for designers. The electronic design practice is a long-discussed subject with numerous courses already available. However, the subject of electromagnetic compatibility is often overlooked. Ironically, EMC issues are by far the biggest challenge for anyone who has already tried to design electronics and apply them to practical use, not to mention that no single product is sent to market without EMC compliance standard testing. We are living in the IT age with ultra-large-scale integration and GHz processors and digital systems as well as radio communications working everywhere. This brings the necessity of these systems to work effectively and reliably in the vicinity of each other and to do so we as electronics, hardware, and PCB designers need to have good knowledge of EMC to design such systems. The EMC problem is getting worse and worse every year with increasing operating frequencies, more and more integration of circuits, and widespread use of electronic and IT equipment.

In this course, a broad overview of EMC is given covering different aspects of EMC from emissions to susceptibility.  The course targets the most important aspects of EMC in general with each lecture trying to give practical examples of EMC issues and how they can be avoided during the designs or solved afterward.

You are about to start learning a new skill most engineers lack. If you work on this you will stand out in the crowd of engineers who lack EMC knowledge. Also by learning about EMC, unlike most engineers, you will be able to counter EMC problems and think of them in advance.

I hope you find this course practical and useful

    Good luck!

    Instructor's Courses
I studied control engineering for my bachelor's and embedded systems for my master's. Electronic and Hardware design is my passion. Ever since my graduation in 2013 I have been involved in many projects and designs. There is an increasing number of software developers, however, the industry needs hardware developers as well and in comparison to software guys, they are much fewer. That is why I have chosen hardware design as my field of work!
Students take courses primarily to improve job-related skills. Some courses generate credit toward technical certification. Udemy has made a special effort to attract corporate trainers seeking to create coursework for employees of their company.
