  • Description

Looking to learn more about the power of infrastructure as code (IaC)? Join instructor Mike Benkovich as he provides an in-depth exploration of managing Microsoft Azure infrastructure using IaC tools. This course covers the core concepts and skills required to leverage tools such as Azure CLI, ARM, and Bicep, as well as third-party options like Terraform and Pulumi. Test out your newly acquired skills along the way with hands-on demonstrations and practical exercises in GitHub. This course is designed for anyone who already has a basic understanding of cloud concepts in Azure but is still new or relatively inexperienced with IaC in an Azure environment. By the end of this course, you’ll also have a better understanding of the impact of AI on IaC tooling with real-world examples drawn from ChatGPT and Copilot.

    Instructor's Courses
I am a developer, business owner, consultant, cloud architect and online instructor. An alumni of Microsoft from 2004 to 2012 I helped build developer communities across the US thru work on Microsoft Across America, MSDN Events, MSDN Webcasts, DPE and Channel 9. While at Microsoft I helped create and grow developer conferences across the US in various cities including Minneapolis, Chicago, St Louis, Des Moines, Omaha, Tulsa, Dallas, etc. I also co-founded the Azure Boot Camp events (a 2 day event) that were run in cities across the US and at PDC and TechEd before it was transferred to the community. I was at the start of the Azure MVP program, and since 2016 I am excited to be a member of it. I speak at 15-20 conferences and community events per year, and I helped start a Toastmaster club for Geeks called TechMasters where we grow speakers for Conferences. I am a LinkedIn Learning Instructor for Azure, have developed courses for Opsgility and LearnNow Online. I work in Azure Cloud Governance, Application Architecture and Software Delivery consulting.
