Tomasz Palczewski

Dr. Tomasz Palczewski currently works as a Staff Software Engineer at Samsung Research America (SRA, Mountain View, CA, US). He is a physicist who was exposed to economics via Ph.D. studies and holds an MBA from Quantic School of Business and Technology. His excitement about getting insights out of large data sets using cutting-edge techniques led him to work across the globe: CERN (Switzerland), LBNL (Italy), J-PARC (Japan), U of Alabama (US), UC Berkeley (US). In 2016, he was deployed to the South Pole to calibrate the world's largest neutrino telescope. At some point, he decided to pivot his career and focus on applying his skills in the industry. Dr. Palczewski's expertise lies in the space of modeling user behavior and creating value for advertising and marketing verticals by deploying machine-learning, deep-learning, and statistical modeling at scale.
