Stephen Rylander

Stephen Rylander is currently SVP, Global Head of Engineering at Donnelley Financial Solutions (DFIN), the largest filer with the SEC. He is a software engineer–turned technical executive who has seen a variety of industries from music to e-commerce to finance and more. He is invested in improving the practice of software delivery, operational platforms, and all the people involved in making this happen. He has worked on platforms handling millions of daily transactions and developed digital transformation programs driving financial platforms. Patterns of Software Construction was his first book, but there are more to come.He is grateful for the support he receives from his family (Alisha, Olivia, Harrison), his two cats (Jones and Boots), and his always wonderful and supportive mother Marion.
