Nichola Lacey

About the Author

Nichola Lacey grew up by the coast in Worthing, England. After graduating from Anglia Ruskin University in Essex she became a programmer for a small multi-media firm which involved training clients in how to use the software she had helped develop. Realising that teaching and training was an area she found interesting, Nichola progressed to running corporate training events for large international organisations before eventually retraining to become a secondary school teacher where she was promoted to head of department. Leaving teaching, she struck out on her own and founded an educational resources company (www.nicholawilkin.com) and became one of the TES top sellers with her resources being downloaded over a million times and used by hundreds of thousands of teachers and pupils all over the world. Her first book “Python by Example: Learning to Program in 150 Challenges” is a refreshingly different approach to teaching programming which puts the power in the readers' hands.
