Marko Sluga

Marko Sluga was born in 1979. He credits most of his interest in IT to his father who worked as a network expert and would enable Marko to learn about computing from a very young age. From his early days tinkering with his first PC, Marko has always had a yearning to understand what makes computers tick. The quest for knowledge lead to a career in IT, virtualization and cloud. Over the last 20 years Marko has seen the rise of the cloud, DevOps, and Automation firsthand. Marko has architected and implemented multiple applications powered by the cloud based on AWS, OpenStack and other platforms. Since 2010 Marko has dedicated more and more time improving his own AWS skill set and building his scripting and DevOps knowledge. In 2014 Marko took the plunge and started building his own brand - markocloud.com. Between 2016 and 2018 Marko achieved all the associate, professional and specialty certifications and was recognized as an AWS Authorized Instructor - Champion. These days his time is split between delivering AWS official courses, consulting on various types of cloud projects and authoring books related to his work.
