Leon O. Chua

Leon Chua received his master's degree from MIT in 1961 and his Ph.D. in 1964 from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana. He became an assistant professor of electrical engineering at Purdue University in 1964 and was promoted to associate professor in 1967. He joined UC Berkeley in 1970. Outstanding contributions to the fundamentals of any aspect of electronic circuits and systems of long-term significance or impact.
