John P. Flynt

John P. Flynt, Ph.D. is a teacher and technical writer who enjoys math and programming as hobbies. He has taught at the University of Colorado, Boulder, in the Department of Applied Mathematics. He works for the Department of Energy as a contractor with the Wyandotte Nation. Many of his books are written for people who are learning to program or do math as beginners. He has worked with youth groups with sponsorship from the National Science Foundation and has been a strong advocate of using computer game development in educational settings related to science, literature, music, and digital art. He is also a professional mental health counselor.
