About the Author
Dr. Djordjevic is a tenured Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of College of Engineering of University of Arizona, with a joint appointment in the College of Optical Sciences. Prior to joining the University of Arizona, he was with University of Bristol and University of the West of England, Bristol, UK; Tyco Telecommunications, Eatontown, USA; National Technical University of Athens, Athens, Greece; and State Telecommunication Company, Nis, Yugoslavia. His current research interests include quantum communications, quantum networks, quantum sensing, optical communications/networks, channel coding, coded modulation, turbo equalization, OFDM applications, physical-layer security, quantum key distribution (QKD), quantum information processing, quantum error correction, and quantum biology. He was serving as an associate editor for Optica/IEEE Journal of Optical Communications and Networking from 2019 to 2022. He was serving as editor/senior editor/area editor of IEEE Communications Letters from 2012 to 2021. He was serving as editorial board member/associate editor for IOP Journal of Optics and Elsevier Physical Communication Journal both from to 2016 to 2021.Dr. Djordjevic is the Fellow of IEEE and Fellow of Optica (formerly OSA).
