Chris Chapman is a Principal UX Researcher at Amazon Lab126, where he leads research projects for industrial design with hardware products (Kindle, Echo, and others). Previously he held UX research positions at Google (2012-2022) and Microsoft (2000-2011).Chris has served as President of the American Marketing Association's Marketing Insights Council; founding co-chair of the Quant UX Conference 2022; Chairperson of the 2015 Analytics with Purpose Conference; twice chair of the Advanced Research Techniques Forum (ART Forum) conference; member of the steering committee for the Sawtooth Software Conference; the editorial board for Marketing Insights magazine; and a reviewer for several research conferences and journals.A native of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Chris holds a PhD in clinical psychology from the University of Tulsa; an MA in philosophy from the University of Texas; and a BA from Harvard University. He completed the clinical psychology residency and was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Washington School of Medicine (1998-2000).
