About AstronomyLearn More
Astronomy is the science of knowing the space beyond the earth's atmosphere. The name is derived from the Greek astron meaning star and nomos meaning order or law. Astronomy deals with celestial objects and phenomena (such as stars, planets, comets, and galaxies) as well as the large-scale features of the universe, also known as the "big picture."
