Introduction to VoIP In short, VoIP or Voice Over IP is a voice transmission technology over a network platform that enables telephone calls to be made over an IP network platform. Until 30 years ago, there was no such thing as the Internet, and conversational communication was possible only through the public telephone network (PSTN). Also, sending data, especially over long distances, was costly; But in the past few years, we have seen some interesting phenomena; The expansion of personal computers, new communication technologies such as cell phones and finally the wide Internet network. A new generation of communication was established through chat and e-mail, and business was reborn in the shadow of the web. Now we are witnessing a real revolution in the world of communication. People use personal computers or mobile phones and the Internet to do their work or spend most of their free time in this limitless world. They exchange information (images, audio and documents) easily and communicate with each other through the Internet using application software. Today, all these issues are done under the shadow of a technology whose ever-increasing expansion has overshadowed all communications, and that is VoIP technology. What is VoIP and how does it work? Human voice is an analog signal. Therefore, an analog to digital signal converter is used at the source. Considering that the voice must be converted into data packets for transmission through the IP network, digitization of the voice signal must be done.
