The general functionality of Kafka includes concepts such as Kafka Broker, Kafka Producer and Kafka Consumer that we hear a lot. Kafka Broker is a node in the Kafka cluster that is used to store and replicate data. Producer puts the messages in a container called topic. Consumer also reads messages from topic.
